Whilst the news of a third lockdown is not the start to 2021 that anyone wanted, it is needed to control the spread of Coronavirus.
This week, we have received guidance from the First Aid Quality Partnership (FAQP) and ProTrainings that the delivery of first aid and other training during the current lockdown can continue to be delivered, provided they are working in line with current COVID-secure guidelines.
Flagship Partners are continuing to train in England within the government guidelines as customers are permitted to leave home for specific work purposes. This means that our trainers, and our customers are allowed to attend our courses as our training cannot be fully completed from home.
Being first aid trained saves lives in the workplace and eases the pressure on the NHS, which is certainly needed in this unprecedented time.
This is great news for us here at Flagship Partners. We will ensure we are COVID-safe at all times, by:
- Asking customers to complete a set of pre-screening questions
- Providing hand hygiene and adequate hand gel around the classroom
- Wearing face masks at all times
- Social distancing
- We have adapted our teaching and assessing rules
- We provide individual dressings to customers to use on manikins
- There is plenty of ventilation with windows open at all times, surfaces are cleaned as much as possible during and between courses and general surface and personal hygiene is followed
- Each learner will receive their own bandage and dressing kit
- Each learner also has use of their own Manikin for the duration of the course
Following government guidelines, we will continue to provide essential first aid training to help support industry sectors such as manufacturing and construction to keep operating subject to venue availability and customer demand.
