Award Winning Peterborough Hairdressers; Locks and Shades choose Flagship to support their team achieve their #BeKind Campaign
Locks and Shades Hairdressers, are based in Yaxley, Peterborough. The award-winning hairdressers founder Donna Young recently approached Flagship to discuss and book Mental Health in the Workplace Training for her ‘Shaders’ Team. Mental Health Awareness has improved in recent years, but despite Mental Health Training not being a mandatory requirement. Donna and Pete from Flagship had been discussing the potential training solutions, for her management team over the last few months at the end of 2019. However this week, in response to the desperately sad situation where, famous TV star Caroline Flack died by suicide. Donna said, ‘I feel like after the situation last weekend with Caroline Flack, the mental health training is something the whole team need to do. For our amazing clients, for themselves and to be able to support each other too.’
Proactively investing in Team Development – First Aid at Work Training
In 2019, Donna invested in First Aid training with Flagship for her whole team too. This means that the Shaders team are fully equipped with life-saving skills to enable them to support each other and their clients in the case of a physical emergency. Locks & Shades have also recently had a Defibrillator fitted by the amazing Gemma’s Hearts, also based in Yaxley, Peterborough.
Following an employee engagement survey at Locks and Shades in 2019, the Shaders team voted Flagship’s First Aid training the most valuable and best educational event they attended in 2019.
Mental Health Training
Flagship are able to provide a range of Mental Health Training and Mental Health in the Workplace Training solutions.
